 Eighteen is a flat-out, rock n' roll chart based on a tune from one of Pat Metheny's earlier albums, "Offramp.  This arrangement of "I Hope In Time a Change Will Come" came about through a desire to hear/play more than one chorus of this stunningly beautiful melody by Oliver Nelson. Bob Curnow took a fresh approach to one of the Yellowjackets' most popular recordings. Russell Ferrante's composition allows for a full-throated arrangement featuring the original feel/style (kind of jazz fusion-ish) and solo space for trumpet and soprano saxophone. 5-4-4-4
