This is a Nonet chart which was recorded on the Re-Entry album by Shorty Rogers and His Giants (Bill Watrous, Bill Perkins, Bob Cooper, Shelley Manne and others). The piece is a Shorty Rogers Classic.... a bright blues tempo, with lots of solo space for all. This is a great chart to program with your big band, because it gives your jazz players a chance to blow, and it gives the rest of the band some rest. 2 flugelhorns, trombone, 3 saxes (alto, tenor, barit.) and rhythm section. 3-2-1-3
