This was written in memory of Stan Kenton. This gorgeous flugelhorn feature was just performed by Carl Saunders on the August, 2000 Kenton Sounds concert in Los Angeles. This is a slow, sensitive, solo vehicle for flugelhorn. A somewhat rubato, Kentonish style of composition, this piece will create a great response from your audiences. The CD on which this piece is recorded is Towednack, Bob Curnow and the SWR Big Band (available from Sierra Music).(8 or 10 brass)
