This great chart, a magnificent ballad feature for trumpet, is recorded on the "Tonight Show Band, Volume One " CD (Amherst Records). The magic of Newsom's arranging combined with the genius of George Gershwin, makes for a winning combination. This is a slow, "swingy" ballad throughout, with most of the focus on the trumpet solo. 5-4-3-4 with opt. parts for as many as 9 brass players.
