Here is a deeply emotional, gorgeous ballad from the self-titled album Lyle Mays. It begins with solo piano (written out) and moves into lush ensemble playing. There is a short, improvised tenor solo before the full band begins to build to a strong point. This Bob Curnow arrangement then closes with Lyle's pensive, quiet piano solo ending. Woodwind doubles include two flutes, clarinet and bass clarinet. 5-5-5-4
