Here is another fantastic Metheny/Mays masterwork, orchestrated by Bob Curnow. The piece was originally recorded on the Speaking of Now CD by the Pat Metheny Group. This arrangement is loaded with lots of powerhouse ensemble writing and a great solo section for tenor saxophone. It is set in a medium-tempo rock groove. The energy of this piece is extraordinary. The variable scoring of the oft-repeated main theme leads to a powerful and affirming ending. This is yet another great collaboration of Metheny/Mays and Bob Curnow. 5-4-4-4
